Harwell Parish History Group – A History of Footpaths
A talk by Professor Robert Evans, Fellow of Oriel College.
Wednesday 16th September at 7.30pm in the Cherry Hall.
Tickets on the door – £3 non-members, members free.
Regius Professor of Modern History at Oxford 1997-2011, Robert Evans remains a Fellow of Oriel College. His speciality was rather removed from footpaths – namely, the lands owned by the Hapsburgs in Central and Eastern Europe. He also studies the history of Wales. Footpaths are another key interest, and this should appeal to many of us who like walking, are interested in rights of way, or just like being in the countryside.
