Welcome to the Orchard Film Club!
Originally set up in November 2016 to hold monthly film events to raise money for the Harwell Village Hall Redevelopment Project, the Orchard Film Club became an independent organisation in January 2019. We are a charitable organisation run by volunteers and any surplus profits are allocated to a local charity at the end of the financial year.
Membership is free and a film ticket costs around £5. Tickets can be purchased by contacting Alison Fautley on 221052 or by sending an email request to email@example.com.
We aim to show a variety of films including recent releases, classic titles, musicals, drama and comedy. In 2020 we will usually show films on the first Friday of the month, but if that is not the case we will mention it here – see below for upcoming dates.
Start time is always 7.30pm with doors and bar opening at 7pm.
At last we have some guidance on how we might be able to show films again and the Trustees at Harwell Village Hall have now decided that it will reopen from 1st September, so we have decided to take the plunge and plan a film evening! We will show “Judy” on Friday 9th October – we thought it prudent to wait a short while for the Trustees to get used to running the hall with the new restrictions in place first, hence the delay until October. We will send out more information over the coming weeks via our newsletter about how to get tickets and how we will manage social distancing. We will decide nearer the time if we can manage a bar or ask viewers to bring their own refreshments, depending on the latest government guidance.
Films planned for future showings are:
|Friday 9th October||Judy||cert 12A|
|Date TBC||The Good Liar||cert 15|
|Date TBC||Finding Your Feet||cert 12A|
|Date TBC||JoJo Rabbit||cert 12A|
