Welcome to the Orchard Film Club!
Originally set up in November 2016 to hold monthly film events to raise money for the Harwell Village Hall Redevelopment Project, the Orchard Film Club became an independent organisation in January 2019. We are a charitable organisation run by volunteers and any surplus profits are allocated to a local charity at the end of the financial year.
Membership is free and a film ticket costs around £5. Tickets can be purchased by contacting Alison Fautley on 221052 or by sending an email request to:
We aim to show a variety of films including recent releases, classic titles, musicals, drama and comedy. In 2020 we will usually show films on the first Friday of the month, but if that is not the case we will mention it here – see below for upcoming dates.
Start time is always 7.30pm with doors and bar opening at 7pm.
We had hoped to restart our film evenings in the new year but based on your feedback, for the moment we are putting things on hold until our audience feels more confident about coming back into the hall. We usually rely on a lot of “on the door” sales which is no longer possible in the age of coronavirus, as we will have to carefully plan our seating and allocate tickets in advance to maintain social distancing.
We have been doing lots of research thanks to the successful folk evenings run in the hall by Big Ginger Tom Music and we are confident that we can safely run a film evening and adhere to the latest government guidance.
We will send out more information over the coming weeks via our newsletter about how to get tickets for film evenings in the future and how we will manage social distancing.
Films planned for future showings are:
|Date TBC||Judy||cert 12A|
|Date TBC||The Good Liar||cert 15|
|Date TBC||Finding Your Feet||cert 12A|
|Date TBC||JoJo Rabbit||cert 12A|

We look forward to seeing you all soon! Stay safe and keep well, with best wishes from Alison, Martin and Janice.
