Orchard Film Club – Green Book
Set in 1962 America and winner of the Academy Award for Best Picture, Green Book is inspired by the heart-warming story of working-class Italian-American bouncer Tony Lip (Viggo Mortensen) who accepts a job as chauffeur for world-class black pianist Dr Don Shirley (Mahershala Ali). The mismatched pair embark on a two month concert tour in the racially charged deep south, where they face adversity at every turn, but soon discover they’re on the road to a unique and meaningful friendship.
