SUMMARY:Gweeplefest - Games Event Day
DESCRIPTION:Gweeples are proud to announce the next Gweeplefest! \nFor our second Gweeplefest we have chosen to donate all the profits to Play2Give\, a fantastic fundraising organisation based in Oxford\, for Oxford and surrounding areas. They have raised an incredible amount and we are proud to be associating with them. \nhttp://www.play2give.org.uk/ \nIn the main hall we will have set tables for all day games (please contact either Pushi or Barry to book – more on this closer to the event)\, play testers\, and maybe even themed competitions. We will of course have a large number of tbales for people to play games on\,and you can borrow from our library too. \nWe are looking to get a local games shop in to run a stall\, a sweet vendor for snack and drinks and we have a professional painting company running painting classes for free. Bring along a mini to try and paint it. \nIn the second hall we will have a bigger family games area in the second hall\, and more family friendly games. A room for those wanting to join in with the RPG’s. \nAre you a games designer or know of one\, fo you fancy a table? Is there anything you would like to see? Comments to Gweeples:\nhttps://www.facebook.com/groups/gweeples/ \nWe will soon put the tickets up for sale\, and we are working on the gweeples website. \nAs far as we can tell the first Gweeplefest was the biggest of its kind in Oxfordshire this year\, lets make this even bigger! \nHosted within the Gweeplefest 2 board gaming day\, we will be running a friendly Dropzone Commander tournament of three 1500 point games. \nThe focus of the event is on having fun and getting some games played and we would love to get some players together throwing dice and getting stuck into the second edition. We are aiming to host an 8 player event\, and I (Greg) will be acting as TO/odd man on the day to ensure an even number of players. \nGweeplefest is open from 9am-10pm and everyone is welcome to stay on after the organised Dropzone event is done to either play more Dropzone or to get involved in the wider board gaming fun. We will be aiming to start the first round by 10.30\, or whenever everyone is ready & I’ll post a detailed schedule closer to the time. \nEntry to Gweeplefest is £5 for the day (with free parking!) and we are not charging anything more for entry into the tournament. \nCheck the FB page for details of online tickets.\nCome find us at Gweeples:\nhttps://www.facebook.com/groups/gweeples/
