Which room is right for me?
The Orchard and Cherry Halls are available both for private, one-off bookings, open events, and regular repeat bookings for classes, clubs and societies:
- Parties for children, over 18s, seniors and those in between
- Wedding receptions
- Events like quiz nights
- Classes like dancing and crafts or learn a language, learn to exercise or self-defence.
The Committee Room is also available for smaller meetings and as a break-out room for the Cherry Hall.

To book, in the calendar, simply click the ‘+’ in the top right-hand corner of the date box for the room you want to hire.

NB private parties may be shown just as “busy”.
Additional information and booking ahead
One-off bookings go on the system as soon as they are made.
We aim to keep the calendar up to date for regular weekday bookings for an academic year at a time.
In July/August of each year we will populate the calendar for September to August of the coming academic year.
One-off weekday bookings for August are given priority over regular classes if made before the end of June. After that, a one-off booking request for a slot normally taken by a regular user can only be made with the agreement of the regular user.
Regular Sunday morning bookings will be asked to give way to all day Sunday, extended Saturday, and Weekend Bookings, provided that at least 6 weeks’ notice is given.
